Current biome Verify Finish the current biome job before carrying rare materials into the next one: boss, key unlock, basic gear, food, and a return route.
Next gate Verify Build the staging base before the boss attempt, not after the first death. Put repair, storage, portal, and spare food on the safe side of the route.
Recovery route Required After an unlock, update the world note with the next biome, required preparation, and the resource that is now worth transporting.

Use the next gate to decide what to carry

  1. Step 1: At the Sacrificial Stones, open the map and mark your base, the current boss location, the next biome edge, and a safe portal site.
  2. Step 2: Finish the current biome boss, mount or record its trophy, use the boss reward to unlock the next crafting or exploration gate, and upgrade food, weapon, armor, and resistance before crossing.
  3. Step 3: Build a staging base with a bed or spawn point, repair access, storage, spare food, and a forward portal; make one light scouting trip before transporting rare materials.
  4. Step 4: Keep the recovery route described in the preparation step open until the unlock is confirmed.

Progression becomes easier to follow when every biome move has a reason. The next boss, crafting material, resistance, and return route should determine the loadout; the map order alone is not enough to tell you what to do next.

  • Finish the current gate before moving rare materials: secure the boss reward, repair access, food reserve, and portal.
  • Make the first trip into a new biome a scouting trip, then return for cargo after the safe edge and outpost are known.
  • When the next gate changes, update the loadout rather than carrying the entire previous biome into the new one.
