Resolve the product before checkout
- Step 1: Open the official Steam or Xbox store page for the device you will use, sign in to the account that will own the game, and check the displayed platform and region.
- Step 2: On the product page, read the product name and edition line; do not continue when the page is for a key, bundle, soundtrack, or another product.
- Step 3: Before clicking the final purchase button, confirm the account, platform, region, edition, price, and refund/support route, then save the receipt.

The useful answer is not a list of every platform. It is the shortest route from the device in front of you to the product page that can launch on that device. Treat platform, account region, edition, and support route as four separate fields.
- A Steam purchase, an Xbox listing, and a key reseller can use similar wording while providing different ownership and refund paths.
- If you are buying for another player, check which account will actually launch the game before comparing price or availability.
- Stop at the product page when one of these fields is missing; a cheap listing is not a usable recommendation until ownership is clear.
If the winner changes by situation
- Stop before payment if the platform or region is unclear.
- Use the official FAQ to resolve availability questions.
- Keep the receipt and store support route with the purchase record.
