FAQ

What should I prepare first?
At the main menu, identify the exact world name and whether it is local, cloud-backed, or hosted by another player; ask the world owner for access when it is not yours.
What should I verify before using the result in a shared world?
The seed came from the world owner or save workflow and reproduces a recognizable landmark.

A seed is only useful with its world

  1. Step 1: At the main menu, identify the exact world name and whether it is local, cloud-backed, or hosted by another player; ask the world owner for access when it is not yours.
  2. Step 2: Use the owner’s save-management or server workflow to copy the world seed exactly, including capitalization and symbols, and record the game version beside it.
  3. Step 3: Paste that seed into a viewer, generate the map, and click one landmark that you can also find in game; continue only when the viewer and the current world show the same landmark.
world seed lookup: identify the world, server, or save record before copying values.

A seed viewer can be accurate while still answering the wrong question if the seed came from another save. The owner, storage mode, version, and exact spelling belong beside the seed before anyone follows a marker in the current shared world.

  • Identify whether the world is local, cloud-backed, or server-owned before looking for a folder.
  • Copy capitalization and symbols exactly and record the game version beside the value.
  • Calibrate the viewer with one landmark that the player can find in the actual world.

When the record does not match

  • Ask the host instead of guessing from a character folder.
  • Use a copied save if the source file is unclear.
  • Treat viewer markers as planning evidence until the world confirms them.
