Make poison and movement one plan
- Step 1: Use the Swamp Key at a Sunken Crypt entrance, break muddy scrap piles and bone heaps, and collect 10 Withered Bones while marking the route back to the portal.
- Step 2: Craft or bring an Iron Mace and Poison Resistance mead, place the portal outside the poison cloud, and run the corpse-recovery route before summoning.
- Step 3: Place the 10 Withered Bones at the Bonemass altar, drink the resistance mead, hit with blunt damage, and step out of the green cloud before returning to attack.
- Step 4: Keep the recovery route described in the preparation step open until the unlock is confirmed.

Bonemass preparation works when resistance, blunt damage, stamina, and arena geometry support the same movement loop. A high-damage loadout is not enough if the player cannot leave the poison cloud or reach the corpse after a death.
- Collect Withered Bones while mapping the crypt entrance, portal, and return route.
- Run the escape path before summoning and remove water, roots, or terrain that blocks it.
- Keep the mace and Poison Resistance mead ready for the attempt rather than using the reserve on routine Swamp travel.
If the boss run breaks
- Recover the portal and corpse before farming more materials.
- Replace the damage type or resistance first, not the entire loadout.
- Move the arena away from water, roots, or nearby enemy spawns if movement is blocked.
