Valheim Pickaxe: Eikthyr, Hard Antler & Ore

Use the first pickaxe to open the next tier

   Step 1: Hunt deer until you have 2 Deer Trophies, find the Eikthyr altar through the map marker, and clear enough space to circle the boss.

   Step 2: Place the 2 trophies in the altar, fight Eikthyr with a spear or bow while stepping out of the stomp and lightning areas, and collect the Hard Antler after victory.

   Step 3: At a Workbench, select Antler Pickaxe, craft it from the Hard Antler, repair it, and use it to mine the copper, tin, stone, or muddy scrap that opens the next tier.

The Antler Pickaxe is a progression key as much as a mining tool. The useful route connects Eikthyr, Hard Antler, Workbench crafting, repair, and the first ore or scrap target.

Before the boss fight, place a bed and chest near the altar, carry a rested food loadout, and mark the return route. After Eikthyr falls, pick up the Hard Antler and open the Workbench recipe immediately; if the craft is unavailable, check the station level and inventory before leaving for ore.

• Prepare the Eikthyr altar and retreat route before expecting the recipe to appear.
• Craft the pickaxe, repair it, and take it to the material that unlocks the next practical upgrade.
• Do not mass-haul ore until the return route and storage point have survived a small test run.

If the item does not solve the job

• Return to the boss preparation route if the recipe is still locked.
• Use the current pickaxe only for the ore that opens the next gate.
• Repair before a long mining trip; durability loss is part of the route.
