Target the session, not just the command
- Step 1: Open the server’s admin workflow, confirm your Steam64 ID is in the admin list, save the file or setting, restart if required, and rejoin the server.
- Step 2: Press F5 in game, type
kick [name/steamID], and press Enter once after checking the target name or ID and the current server. - Step 3: Check the player list or server console to confirm the intended player left, then record the action instead of repeating the command or using ban.
kick [name/steamID]

A kick command is a moderation action against one active session. Confirm which server console is open and whether the name or Steam ID identifies the intended player without ambiguity.
- Confirm admin permission and the active server before entering the command.
- Run the command once, then use the player list or console output to check the result.
- Keep a short moderation note so a mistaken kick can be explained without changing the world or using a broader action.
Confirm the shared result
The intended player was removed from the intended server and no ban or world command was run by mistake.
If the setting or join test fails
- Use the documented unban path if the wrong player was affected.
- Ask the player to reconnect only after the group rule is clear.
- Keep a backup and moderation record for persistent servers.
